SVP are SNJ Award winners!
The Stroud News and Journal Community Awards took place on Thursday 19 June at Cheltenham Chase Hotel, with SVP nominated in the Environment category.
The fabulous occasion, which was seamlessly run by the hotel’s staff and the LocalIQ team, saw many of those who work hard in our district gathered together to celebrate each other’s hard work and dedication. It was truly humbling, not to mention heartwarming, to see the people and organisations who'd been nominated by the public for the awards, which were then whittled down to three and then one by a panel of judges... and we’re delighted to say that we won!
The Stroud Valleys Project team were over the moon to be selected as the winning Environmental Project of the Year, especially given such tough competition, with the Heavens Valley CBS and Horsfall House also in our category.
This prize is for our SVP volunteers, whose endeavours keep biodiversity thriving in our district, and for our staff, who empower them to get out and make a difference for nature. Well done to all of you for making our charity what it is, and thanks to the Stroud News and Journal for shining a light on the amazing work taking place across our district.
