Stroud Valleys Project is looking for new Trustees to join our board and help guide the charity as we work to help people and nature thrive together across the Stroud District.

Trustees play an important role in shaping our strategy, supporting our staff team and ensuring the charity is well-run and sustainable.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with finance, accounting or treasurer experience, although we welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. Previous trustee experience is not required – training and support will be provided.

We’re looking for people who:

  • Are passionate about communities and the natural environment

  • Can think strategically and contribute to board discussions

  • Are committed to our values of sustainability, inclusivity and opportunity

Time commitment

  • 4 board meetings per year (currently in person in Stroud)

  • Occasional sub-committee meetings

  • Annual half-day strategy session

This is a voluntary role, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.
