Following on from our Rewear Revolution, learn a new skill to repurpose old fabrics.
Rag rugger extraordinaire Sue Ratcliffe will teach the traditional art of rag rugging and support you to make a garland incorporating the reds and golds of autumn.
Rag rugging is a great way of taking leftover scraps of fabric and repurposing them to make something beautiful in a creative way that’s also lots of fun. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make a garland of rag rugged tinsel that you can use again and again.
All tools and fabric will be supplied. If you would like to use particular colours, please bring along your own fabric scraps to incorporate into your garland (fabrics coloured on both sides is particularly good for rag rugging). You can also bring autumnal embellishments to add to your garland.
