Join Stroud Valleys Project to witness the amazing winter roosting of the Jackdaws in Stratford Park.
Local ecologist Megan Adamou will give us an insight into their habits and answer all your jackdaw-related questions! Jackdaws are almost always in parks, and you can pick couples out even as they are flying in flocks of hundreds of birds - a beautiful, albeit noisy, sight to behold.
We’ll be making the most of both technology and old-fashioned pen and paper, as we go live to plot the movement of these ornithological disruptors. Ecologists from all over the Stroud Valleys will be calling in to let us know how many Jackdaws are flying in, from where, and at what time, so we can live track their journey.
Come and join us for a Citizen Science experiment in action!
