Come with us for a walk with dragon…. flies!
Guided by local entomology (insect) expert Graeme Davis, find out about the lifecycle of the dragonfly, and search for them in the canal and river and a beautiful wildlife pond in the centre of Stroud, using ID charts and binoculars.
You’ll learn to identify common species and find out about their behaviour… which is sometimes surprisingly fierce! Depending on the weather and the time available, we may also look for nymphs (young dragonflies) in a pond.
For adults and families with children over 10 with a keen interest in nature. No prior knowledge is required.
Each booking covers a family; please let us know how many children you are bringing with you after booking.
