Each year, Swifts make a remarkable 5,000km journey to the UK from central Africa to breed.
Every day, each pair will gather up to 20,000 insects to feed their chicks.
They live their lives almost exclusively on the wing (that is, flying).
This is your chance to join local expert John Crowther of Stroud Swift Group, who will take you on a guided walk around Minchinhampton, spotting Swifts in flight and identifying their nesting sites.
This event is suitable for wheelchair users. All children must be accompanied by an adult; please note late start and finish time.
