Nailsworth Bioblitz

Join Stroud Valleys Project and our team of experts at the King George V playing fields in Nailsworth to find out about the range of species that make their homes here. From bumblebees to birds, plants to pollinators, we want to find out more about the brilliant wildlife we have on our doorsteps.

A bioblitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. We would love it if you could come along and lend a hand.

You are welcome to come for an hour or come for the whole event. We will be spotting different species types throughout the day, so if you’re big on birds, or potty about plants, you can choose the best time to join us.

Our friends at Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust will also be joining us on the day to offer some family-friendly wildlife activities and tell you all about the People’s Nature Reserve.

For more details including a survey schedule and meeting points, email sharon@stroudvalleysproject.org.

This event is part of our Garden Guardians project, so there will also be a chance to find out about how you can help wildlife in your own green space.
