Great British Spring Clean with Stroud Valleys Project

In the UK alone, 30 million tonnes of litter are dropped every year, with £1 billion of taxes spent on litter picking every year.

The Great British Spring Clean is happening between 25th March and 10th April across the country. Stroud Valleys Project will be joining forces with Stroud District Council and YOU, the wonderful people of Stroud to help clean our streets, valleys and hills.

Register to take part on Sunday 10th April from 10am at the SVP eco shop on Threadneedle Street. If you don’t have your own, we can provide litter pickers and high-vis vests (returnable deposit required). We recommend that you bring your own gloves and smaller disposable bags as they are easier to handle. We will provide bin bags and area map, so you can go forth into town and the surrounding countryside and litter pick to your heart’s content.

Once you’ve had your fill, you can drop off your litter pickers and bags to the SVP eco shop.

All bags of litter collected will be counted and results submitted to the Keep Britain Tidy campaign.
