Dry Stone Walling Taster Weekend

Join Stroud Valleys Project in a rural setting near the town of Stroud to learn a heritage Cotswold craft.

Nigel Chivers of the Cotswold Dry Stone Walling Association will teach participants how to create a dry stone wall that will endure for decades.

You’ll learn how to stand and move to stay healthy and safe; how to select pieces of stone; and how to place them for optimum strength and sustainability.

The session starts at 10am on both days, finishing around 3pm to 4pm depending on light and conditions.

You will need a basic level of fitness; this activity will involve bending, lifting and twisting, and you will be on your feet for long periods.

Full details will be emailed to you upon booking.
