Charity Abseil Challenge

Abseil one of Stroud’s best-known buildings with Stroud Valleys Project!

Are you a natural daredevil? Maybe you’re scared of heights and would like to leap out of your comfort zone? Or perhaps you’re simply seeking a fresh challenge that will raise your adrenaline levels?

This September, 10 Stroud Valleys Project supporters have the chance to experience something amazing: stepping over the precipice of Lion House, the home of Ecotricity, and abseiling 45 feet to ground level. You’ll be supported by experts and cheered on by fellow abseilers representing SVP and three other amazing Stroud charities as you descend to the foot of the building.

What’s more, you’ll be raising funds to help us carry on our vital work with our communities to maintain and transform Stroud’s landscape and wildlife habitats.

It's £20 to register… and we’re asking that every abseiler raises a minimum of £100 in funds for SVP. Every single £1 you raise will make it easier for us to carry on the work we do to help our communities and our wildlife to thrive together.

How to take part…

1.    Select the number of abseilers below

2.    Complete check-out (£20 per abseiler; this is non-refundable)

3.    Complete a medical form for each abseiler here: Abseil Event - 17th September (jotform.com)

4.    Await our confirmation email and support pack (this is not automated so there may be a wait of a day or two)

5.    Set up a Just Giving page or prepare your sponsorship form (details in support pack)

6.    Ask everyone you know to sponsor you (we’ll give more details about this with the support pack)

7.    Make sure you’ve got to the magic figure of £100…

8.    … and get ready for Saturday 17 September!

If you’d like to support SVP’s Charity Abseil challenge but don’t want to actually abseil…

…you can support some of our intrepid abseilers by visiting our Just Giving page or GoFundMe.
