Back by popular demand! Arthur Price will be leading an exploration into the bowels of an archaeological mine that supplied stone for the building of many of the local mills and houses. It’s also home to rare bats during the winter.
Numbers are limited due to restricted space, and you’ll need to bring a torch, wear waterproofs, strong shoes, and bring a hard hat if you have one. Anyone not bringing these items will not be allowed into the mine. We can supply some hard hats if you let us know when booking. The walk is approximately 1 mile and we’ll have to squeeze through a small opening to get into the mine. Once inside, there is room to stand up but it will be dark. Please be aware that due to the nature of the location, you join this event at your own risk. Not suitable for wheelchairs or severe mobility problems, young children or people with claustrophobia. Toilets and refreshments are available in a nearby pub.
