Stroud Valleys Project

Working with people for the environment

Projects

We have a wide range of projects which are mainly focused in the following 3 areas:

Engaging with Communities

Rackleaze Community EngagmentSVP has long been known for working with local communities at local wildlife sites. As well as the many events we run through out the year, we also focus on working with specific sectors of the community who may need a little extra support to enable them to get out into the countryside and enjoy it.

Rackleaze Habitat Workshop

Protecting Local Biodiversity

We work to protect a range of sites that are important local habitats or environments. For example, we protect and maintain a number of urban havens for wildlife. And as with all of our projects, there is a focus on community as well as on biodiversity, and we encourage local residents to get actively involved and appreciate the greenspaces on their doorsteps.

Providing Learning Resources

We have run a number of learning days and courses for both adults and children. From our “Wild Resolutions” courses which aimed to help families explore how to live more sustainably, to our Go Wild! courses aimed at providing adults, and their families,  with basic skills needs in literacy and numeracy through wildlife themes and activities.
