Stroud Congregational Hall, Bedford Street, Stroud, GL5 1AYPolar Bears

Friday 6 March

7.30pm to 9.30pm

We are delighted to welcome Richard Sale, the internationally acclaimed ornithologist and expert on the natural history of the Arctic.

Richard will give an illustrated talk on the wildlife of the area and the threats facing species from sub-sea ice life to polar bears, walrus and some exceptional birds.

One bird, Steller's Sea Eagle, is the world's largest, and Richard's book on it has won the US Wildlife Society's Book for the Year for 2019.  Richard was the first Briton to win the prize with a book on the Gyrfalcon, the world's largest falcon, and is now the first person to have won it twice.
