Friday 3 May

7.30pm - 9pm

We have about 2500 moth species in this country. but many people still think they are just the little brown things that eat clothes or the slightly bigger brown things that fly around our lights.

Bob Smith is from the local branch of Butterfly Conservation. This talk is about some of the moths that he has recorded in his garden at Chalford Hill and includes stories of their strange lives, very strange caterpillars and how they got some of their odd names.

Bob will bring some live moths carefully trapped in the garden overnight. There is a break in the middle of the talk where children can see the moths.

Well behaved children are very welcome.
